The Healthy Plus visit is the Medicare Annual Wellness Visit (AWV) as prescribed by Medicare. This is a very different kind of visit from a routine physical. The AWV focuses on functional capacity, safety, cognition and depression along with other key health indicators. The AWV also produces “risk factors” which are used by the physician for problem focused care over the course of the year.
